If only everything was so black and white…  I have always loved black and white clothes but have really never been one for using black in a home.  Come to think of it I don’t think I have ever had one black thing in any room I have lived in.  Recently though I have been seeing the combination of black and white in a new light and can’t get enough of it.  It’s clean and can be used to create a space that is modern but classic.  It gives a crispness and pop to a room but still remains neutral.  It can be paired with more earthy neutrals to create balance (my favorite idea).  It looks great in either a graphic or painterly style and when planning a space that is both masculine and feminine it works.  Grounding feminine details and vice versa.  Of course, it is all in the way it is used.  Here are a few images that I have been collecting in preparation for this post.  More to come…
