While on a short but sweet vacation in St. Thomas I did some snorkeling and was so in awe by the amazingly pure and vibrant colors that I started collecting images that I thought captured what I saw. The insanely bright blues, greens, yellows, reds, pinks, corals, oranges (and so on and so on)…. were that much more magnified by the fact that they were set against sandy neutrals. It wasn’t overwhelmingly bright or colorful at all because of the scale but instead the colors became accents against layers upon layers of neutrals. Before this I thought of the Caribbean as a place full of vibrant color and the most beautiful bluish green water, which it is, but seeing it in a different way was something worth mentioning. Right now, I would like my home, my clothes and my everyday to be like this.
